This project reimagines an existing residence in Seattle’s Broadview neighborhood through a focused partial remodel that unlocks its relationship to the surrounding landscape. Perched within a bluff-side context known for its expansive outlooks toward the Olympic Mountains and Puget Sound, the design capitalizes on the site’s inherent qualities.
The intervention strategically removes visual and spatial barriers within the plan, creating a more continuous, open living environment oriented toward the view. Expanded openings and refined interior transitions draw natural light deep into the home while framing long-range vistas as a central architectural element. The result is a calibrated transformation that enhances spatial clarity and elevates the everyday experience of the neighborhood’s exceptional setting.
