Inspired by the incremental growth of traditional Norwegian farms, this contemporary home on 23 acres was designed to expand alongside the family. Built in two phases, the house is composed of intersecting gabled volumes that extend into the surrounding landscape.
A clear ordering system organizes public and private spaces, with an open central core housing the living, dining, kitchen, and game rooms. The most recent addition, known as The Bridge, introduces an outdoor living room with a fireplace below and a new primary bedroom wing above, further reinforcing the home’s layered relationship to site and family life.
