Custom New Construction

Island Sanctuary

Named for its expansive views, this contemporary hillside residence is designed to frame the distinctive landscapes of a Puget Sound bay. The plan is organized around a primary and secondary circulation axis, with living spaces branching outward and a series of inner courtyards punctuating the sequence to create layered views and visual connections throughout the home.

Public and private zones are clearly defined by a large pivot door along the main axis, allowing the house to shift between open and closed modes of use. The secondary axis was conceived for future expansion, ensuring the home can adapt over time. A commitment to craftsmanship is evident throughout, most notably in the finely detailed kitchen—a central gathering space where the owners spend much of their time.
